DONATE WOOLENS TO US ,THE TREMBLING UNKNOWN FACES WILL BE GRATEFUL

With the onset of winters, everyone wants to buy the trendiest woolens. Malls are explored, showrooms hunted, everything is done in order for new trends to be lived up to. Everyone wants to be at par with the latest fashion. Once you buy the perfect woolens, you return home only to find the wardrobe not to be big enough for all your clothes.

If you don’t have old woolens to spare or you wish to donate new woolens you may contribute us monetarily. A new sweater costs Rs.200=00 and we are making effort to provide sweaters to 600 rural children this winter.

 Create some space for the new woolens. Let the old ones out. There are many unknown faces who tremble and lose their lives because someone didn’t bother to give them woolens.  Don’t be that someone. Be someone’s reason to be warm this winter. Be someone’s happiness this winter.

 This winter, we at Ahambhumika aim to provide sweaters and other woolens to about 600 school going children. All the children (boys and girls) are young and between 4 to 12 years of age. Anyone who donates woolens will be updates with the photographs of the event. Help us achieve our dream by being a part of it. Nothing feels as good as being someone else’s reason to smile. Be that reason this winter.

About us

‘Aham Bhumika’ is an NGO, a group of like minded people based in Bhopal, a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. The diverse group consists of artists, housewives, engineers, tourist guides, teachers and government employees. We are striving for the betterment of the underprivileged in rural areas of India.

 What we do:  

We collect clothes from donors & distribute them to those in need; the kids in Anaganwadi and schools, adolescent girls and widows in villages.

We prepare sanitary napkins from the donated cotton clothes & distribute them to village women who cannot afford to have even a clean piece of cloth to use during menstruation. 

We collect old bicycles, repair them and provide them to children who have to walk long distances to attend school.

We collect toys & games and provide them to rural Anganwadi centres to make them child friendly.   

We collect grain for “Grain Bank” & provide it to the destitute, disabled & orphans living in villages. In exchange the children are asked to enroll in schools while the destitute and disabled are advised to undergo vocational training best suited to them.

 We collect books and have established and informal library in the village with the aim of developing a habit of reading amongst the people, especially children.

 We also organize health camps for the children and women in rural areas

Mission:

Our mission is to help the underprivileged children, destitute and orphans by involving generous people from the cities by collecting material discarded by them (clothes, bicycles, books, toys, newspapers etc.) for the underprivileged people. Besides this we also request them to donate grain for our “GRAIN BANK”.

Vision:

 No one should die due lack of proper clothing.

 No one should sleep on an empty stomach

 Importance of education should be spread far and wide.

As a medium of ensuring that every poor child gets the chance to undertake the journey towards future, Aham Bhumika (meaning Important Role), an NGO, has come up with the novel initiative of collecting used and old cycles from the people and donating them to poor school children.
